Wine Type: White

Region: Australia (Adelaide Hills)

Grapes: Fiano

Tasting Notes

Before we get started, let it be known that this is a stupendous fish wine, and seared tuna steaks or hamachi crudo with lime juice and slivers of shallot would be super here, as would sushi of any kind. Now that that’s out of the way: Unico Zelo’s Alluvium fiano oozes pineapple but with some buttery heft - think upside down cake as opposed to Dole Whip. Despite the brown sugar-y nuttiness, it’s still pretty light, with some lime zest flurries to keep things fresh. A neat white that’s a good hang during any season. Except maybe football season.

Pair With:

Raw fish marinated in some stuff, be it ceviche, poke, or crudo - and maybe a brisk sunset gaze session.

Funk-o-Meter

Nope - Unico Zelo must have saved all the funk Samus Aran-style to blast it at their Esoterico in one big zap.
