Rogue Vine 2020 Jamón Jamón
Tasting Notes
Welcome to an inspiring reality where Grandma’s perfume doesn’t make you want to gag. This dry orange wine whose name translates to “Ham Ham'' is effortlessly cool and a little wacky, with a lot of eccentricity going on that hits you all at once - like a wave of Nickelodeon slime or that second edible. You’ve got hella explosive floral elderflower, tupelo honey, sticky citrus marmalade, and a touch of mango-flavored Simply Orange, all lined up and ready to kick ass like the superheroes in “Mystery Men.” Drink this nice and cold while frolicking among a meadow full of daisies. Or, use it as a way to shove someone headfirst into the deep end of natural wine. As opposed to letting them dunk their pinky toe in the water first. Tally ho.
Pair With:
Obviously, cured meats. And I’m not just saying that - I did consume both at the same time and can confirm, it’s excellent. Whether it be some Spanish serrano or paper-thin lomo, well, that’s up to you.
Funk-o-Meter
If a swig of Jamón Jamón doesn’t get a resounding “WoOoOaH” from everyone you’re with, sue me. But please don’t, actually.
