Tasting Notes
Wild Arc Farm 2020 Rosato Piquette
Tasting Notes
This field blend of Cab Franc, Noiret and Riesling sports a sharp funky brininess you’d get from a jar of Kalamata olives, but to be clear, this is no liquified Greek salad - there’s a heap more exciting things happening. The coolest part about a can of Wild Arc’s rosato piquette, at least as far as summer is concerned, is that it transitions from day to night seamlessly - you can reap the benefits of refreshing spiced red cherry-berry popsicle vibes while the air is humid and muggy and you’re grazing on grilled and buttered corn-on-the-cob, but then there’s this peppery, fig-y, currant punch that sails you through to the chillier hours after dusk, when you might eat a slice of homemade chocolate cake.
Pair With:
An Impossible patty melt stacked with swiss and caramelized onion, or a dozen mini spanakopita appetizers from the freezer section.
Funk-o-Meter
The team at Wild Arc are wizards of natural wine funk - they’re the ones that first made me associate the word with good vibes, and we could all use some good vibes.
